New Voice Mail Feature
Express Messaging
Voice mail users now have another option in leaving a voice mail message for someone . . . and it can be done without having their telephone ring. Sometimes you may not need to speak with someone, but only leave them a voice message. Sometimes you may want to leave someone a voice message, but do not want their phone to ring and disturb them. This can easily be done by using a feature called "express messaging" that is now available through Call Pilot, our voice mail system.
Here are the steps for using this new feature:
(1) Dial 536-0100 (this is the express messaging number).
(2) You will hear a voice that says "express messaging to mailbox."
(3) Enter the mailbox number (phone number) of the person you want to leave the voice message for without having their phone ring.
(4) Press # when finished.
(5) You will hear a voice that repeats "mailbox and the mailbox number you have entered."
(6) Finally, you will hear the person's voice mailbox greeting where you can leave them a voice message as usual.
