Software available for registered SIUC students

License prices range from $24.60 to $97.20, and includes the software media and shipping. Students may order the following Microsoft Office products and Windows Desktop operating systems:

  2. Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher, Business Contact Manager)
  3. Office 2004 for Macintosh (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage)
  4. Office 2004 for Mac Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage, Virtual PC)
  5. FrontPage
  6. OneNote
  7. Student 2006
  8. Project Professional
  9. Visio
  10. Microsoft XP Professional Upgrade



Software available for faculty and staff

The Microsoft Campus/School Media Kit, price $241.00

This Kit includes all Microsoft Application Media.

Please note: Specific media and documentation may also be ordered individually for $25.00 for each program.


A subscriber to this agreement automatically receives the upgrade media CD for any product included in the Campus/School Media Kit that is upgraded during the term of the agreement (June 30, 2007).

Also note that a number of software titles included in the Media Kit are not covered under our current Microsoft Campus Agreement. Software not covered under the Campus Agreement should not be installed, and LAN Administrators and all other staff and faculty members are required to distribute or install only the authorized software. The software which is not covered under the Campus Agreement but which is included in the Media Kit may be installed on a 30-day trial basis for purposes of testing and evaluation, but must be removed or a separate license obtainede after the thirty day evaluation period.

Software included in the Campus Agreement:

  1. Microsoft Windows Desktop OS upgrades
  2. Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Business Contact Manager, and Publisher)
  3. Microsoft Visual Studio
  4. Office 2004 for Mac Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Entourage, Virtual PC) Documentation kits for each of the above
  5. Core CAL (Exchange Server, Share Point Portal Server, Systems Management Server, and Windows Server)

For departments and units that wish to upgrade to a later version of software which they currently own, product key numbers are available on the faculty and staff software download website.

Distribution:

Microsoft has notified us that orders for stand-alone media (CDs) ordered by faculty and staff may be duplicated for a department, office, or unit as needed.

Faculty have the right to run the most current versions of any of the licensed products or any previous version of the software in either a Macintosh or Windows version on University-owned machines or leased PCs or MACs. Faculty and staff also have the right to run one copy of the software, for University related activities, on either a laptop or desktop that they own or lease.

Microsoft Academic Select Agreement

Under the Academic Select Agreement, faculty and staff can order individual licenses, media, and documentation sets for any Microsoft products.
